About Laurie Thornton

Laurie Thornton is a shareholder at the Seattle law firm Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt, P.C. in their bankruptcy and restructuring group. She represents debtors, creditors, trustees and receivers in courts across the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Thornton previously served as the Assistant US Trustee for the Western District of Washington and Alaska for five years, and prior to that spent nine years as a career law clerk to the Hon. Brian D. Lynch in the Tacoma division of the W.D. of Washington Bankruptcy Court. Ms. Thornton is originally from Seattle and obtained her B.A. from the University of Washington and her J.D. from Marquette University.
