Kelsey believes a lawyer’s job is to prevent and solve problems consistent with a business’s mission, philosophy and needs. Kelsey’s practice is divided between litigation and labor and employment work. Kelsey has litigated cases at the administrative, trial and appellate level and has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation. Prior to entering private practice, Kelsey served as a judicial clerk in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.  In her employment practice, Kelsey regularly counsels employers on restrictive covenants, terminations, policies and employment laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, the National Labor Relations Act and other federal, state and local employment laws. Kelsey’s employment practice includes both unionized and non-unionized employers.
