Judge Daniel Patrick Duffy was appointed to the bench in April 2014 and is presently assigned to the First Municipal District, Civil Section, where he presides over a jury trial call. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Duffy practiced law for nearly twenty years in both state and federal court. His experience encompasses a broad range of civil litigation, including the defense of civil rights and employment claims, commercial litigation and appellate work. In addition, from 2004 until 2013, Duffy served by the appointment of the Illinois Supreme Court on the nine-member Review Board of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, hearing appeals of disciplinary hearings. Duffy earned his undergraduate from the University of Notre Dame in 1987, received an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1989 and returned to Notre Dame for his law degree, graduating in 1993.
