Gabe Horstick is Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Chicago based Campbell Street Asset Management, which was formed in 2012. The firms focus is in identifying value–add real estate investment opportunities and creating value through better management, renovation and repositioning.
At Campbell Street, Gabe’s primary roles include sourcing new acquisitions, securing financing, overseeing general contracting activities, and providing oversight to the Company’s property management division. The Company currently owns and operates nine apartment buildings totaling over 75-units, with over 150-residents, and approximately 50,000 SF of loft office.
Prior to forming Campbell Street, Gabe was a commercial real estate lender at Wells Fargo Bank for over 7-years where he was involved with over $500 million of real estate transactions starting as a Credit Analyst eventually becoming an Assistant Vice President. His experience included financing multi-family, office, retail, industrial, hotel and manufactured housing throughout the United States handling transactions ranging in size from $2 to $100 million.
Before starting his career at Wells Fargo Gabe worked for Cliff Fisher Development and Metropolitan Apartments based in downtown Madison, WI. His experience with Fisher included managing 100+ units of downtown apartments, leasing a portfolio of commercial properties and managing the construction and marketing of a $60 million ground up residential development.
Gabe has held his real estate license since he was 19 and has sold over $20 million worth of residential and commercial real estate including numerous apartment buildings and a large-scale subdivision in both Wisconsin and Illinois. He is a licensed Managing Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois and Co-Principal of Campbell Realty Partners – an active broker of residential and commercial properties in the Chicago area. As a graduate in of UW-Madison’s Real Estate Program he is active in the Wisconsin Alumni Association. He holds a second degree in Finance, Investments and Banking.
A resident of Lincoln Park, he enjoys gardening, hosting get-togethers with his friends, and leading an active lifestyle. He has traveled to over 20 different countries and enjoys seeing and experiencing different cultures.
