Beatrice Sibblies founded BOS Development, a real estate and community development firm based in Harlem, in 2005. BOS Development’s platform is to develop the spectrum of projects necessary for a vibrant community.
In its debut transaction, BOS Development successfully developed a 74-unit residential cooperative apartment on a 99-year ground lease from a church. Despite its deal complexity relative to other condos in the market at the time, the development proved to be one of the fastest-selling in Harlem.
The success of the 88 Morningside project has created the opportunity for BOS Development to acquire and joint venture with local Harlem churches to develop their real estate assets. BOS Development is currently executing ground lease developments with two Harlem churches.
Ms. Sibblies brings a track record of financial innovation to BOS Development as a former structured finance banker. Prior to forming BOS Development, she worked at J.P. Morgan Chase, acting as a Vice President of Emerging Markets Research and Vice President of Structured Finance.
Ms. Sibblies graduated from Yale University with a major in Economics and Political Science. She also gained a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to co-chairing the Harlem Park to Park board, Ms. Sibblies serves on a number of other non-profit boards, including the women’s leadership development organization Higher Heights for America and the Urban Design Forum.
