This episode will cover the arbitration process beginning with how to prepare and file claims, and review thoughts on picking an arbitrator (or arbitrators). From there we will cover preparing for the preliminary conference with the arbitrator. Understanding the order that will flow from the preliminary conference and knowing what to ask for or have considered. We will review some thoughts on discovery requests and motion practice as well as types of awards as well as a few other miscellaneous matters that may be covered during the preliminary conference.

About the NEEC-TBA

The National Educational Event Calendar for Trusted Business Advisors (“NEEC-TBA”) is a cooperative effort of its members. Other not-for-profit associations whose members include accountants, attorneys, business brokers, financial advisors, financial planners, investment bankers, and other trusted advisors to businesses and business owners are welcome to submit their events to the NEEC-TBA by clicking the “submit an event” button. The vision of the NEEC-TBA is to provide a single location on the internet so that: (a) professional associations with overlapping membership and event attendees may use it to help them plan and promote their events; and (b) members of these organizations and other potential event attendees can go to a single calendar to review many options at once.
