Chris Lindsey is Vice President of Policy and State Advocacy at the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp. He began his career as a criminal defense attorney in Montana, and later a cannabis business owner. For more than a decade, he has worked as a state and federal lobbyist, advising lawmakers, regulators, and stakeholders on cannabis and hemp policy. In his current role, he has been deeply involved in federal and state efforts addressing hemp-derived intoxicants and the rescheduling of cannabis, with a focus on regulatory clarity, public safety, and workable compliance frameworks.
