With a background spanning engineering, business strategy, and law, he brings a practical, results-oriented approach to intellectual property by translating complex legal concepts into clear, actionable strategies aligned with business objectives.

Prior to returning to private practice, Charlie managed global patent, trademark, and trade secret portfolios for a company in the plant-based materials sector, where he aligned IP strategy directly with product development and business growth.

Charlie is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law and has served as an adjunct lecturer. He holds undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, providing a strong technical foundation that enables him to work effectively with innovators across a range of industries. His experience at the intersection of technology, law, and business allows him to deliver practical, business-focused IP guidance.
