Collateral value is the foundation of all lending transactions, but even the most traditional valuation techniques require a blend of art and science, and require debtors and practitioners to incorporate their judgment. Where is the line between reasonable judgment and gaming the system to arrive at a valuation that skews the fact pattern in one party’s favor? This webinar presents practice pointers on how to use the ABA Model Rules as a guide to navigating ethical issues in real estate valuation using dynamic case studies that explore how different fact patterns can change the assessment of a situation.

About the NEEC-TBA

The National Educational Event Calendar for Trusted Business Advisors (“NEEC-TBA”) is a cooperative effort of its members. Other not-for-profit associations whose members include accountants, attorneys, business brokers, financial advisors, financial planners, investment bankers, and other trusted advisors to businesses and business owners are welcome to submit their events to the NEEC-TBA by clicking the “submit an event” button. The vision of the NEEC-TBA is to provide a single location on the internet so that: (a) professional associations with overlapping membership and event attendees may use it to help them plan and promote their events; and (b) members of these organizations and other potential event attendees can go to a single calendar to review many options at once.
