About Emily Cantwell

Emily Cantwell is a seasoned commercial litigator and the Partner-in-Charge of Lathrop GPM’s St. Louis office. She focuses on financial services and real estate litigation, representing a broad spectrum of clients from mid-market businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Known for her strategic approach and client-focused mindset, Emily aims to lift the burden of litigation for her clients while achieving the best possible outcomes. She has been recognized among St. Louis’ Most Influential Business Women and is a 2024 recipient of Missouri Lawyers Media’s Women’s Justice Award.

Emily handles all aspects of complex commercial litigation, including civil trials and employment disputes involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. She also advises on receiverships, helping manage, preserve, and resolve disputes involving commercial properties and assets. Beyond her legal practice, she co-chairs the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network and serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
