Cheryl A. Kelly is a partner with Thompson Coburn LLP who practices in the areas of finance, financial restructuring, and real estate. She represents lenders and obligors in complicated finance transactions, from inception through enforcement, including in restructurings, workouts, foreclosures, receiverships, bankruptcies, and other matters involving creditor-debtor relations. She additionally represents buyers and sellers in asset transfers, landlords, tenants, and others in a variety of real estate related matters and handles a variety of other commercial law matters. Her particular area of expertise is representing secured creditors in financings, restructurings, work-outs, orderly liquidations, foreclosures, receiverships, bankruptcies and reorganizations and other proceedings relating to creditor- debtor relations.

Cheryl is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a Lawdragon Leading 500 Real Estate Lawyer and identified as a Thought Leader in Who’s Who Legal: Real Estate. She is named in Best Lawyers in America (for Real Estate Law and Creditors’ Rights Law). She is a “Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyer” and regularly designated among the “Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyer” top 50 women attorneys. Cheryl serves on the Board of the Risk Management Association and is active many other industry and trade organizations.

She volunteers for Crime Victims Center (serving victims of domestic violence) and Legal Services for Eastern Missouri (aiding neighborhood associations in achieving their goals).
