Lauren S. Burke is an associate in Morgan Lewis’s Litigation Practice. Lauren’s practice focuses on product liability, complex commercial, and class action litigation. She has represented clients in complex commercial disputes, mass torts, consumer fraud actions, and government investigations. She handles all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and post-trial appeals in actions throughout the United States.

Lauren’s significant representations include:
– Representation of a manufacturer of construction products in successful defense of a nationwide class action and subsequent statewide class action.
– Representation of a multinational pharmaceutical company in consumer fraud class actions and attorney general litigation in state and federal trial courts and a number of appeals.
– Representation of a major financial services company in a breach of contract action.
– Representation of a multinational pharmaceutical company in more than one investigation by the Department of Justice regarding off-label promotion and fraud allegations.

Immediately following law school, Lauren was a law clerk to Judge Eduardo C. Robreno of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where she assisted the judge in presiding over several jury trials, both criminal and civil.

Lauren received her J.D., summa cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 2008, where she was named to the Order of the Coif and served as a managing editor for the Villanova Law Review. While in law school, she served as a legal extern for Judge Kent A. Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and was a semifinalist in the Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition. Lauren received her B.S. and B.A., summa cum laude, in business and communications from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 2005.

Lauren is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
