
Mark is a business attorney advising companies, their principals, their investors, and other stakeholders in both healthy and distressed situations. His focus is on economic and practical solutions to the business and legal problem at hand, whether it involves capital-raising transactions, opportunistic asset purchases and sales, business expansions, business transformations, corporate governance matters, or matters common to commercial bankruptcy and restructuring situations. His clients include public and privately held companies, their principals and investors, secured and unsecured creditors, asset purchasers, landlords, tenants, as well as assignees, creditors’ committees, bankruptcy trustees, receivers, and similar parties unique to the bankruptcy and insolvency world.
Mark writes and speaks regularly on issues pertaining to business matters involving business transformation and financial challenges. He served as lead editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s treatise on agricultural bankruptcies. Since 2012, he has held a number of roles for the Turnaround Management Association, Chicago/Midwest chapter, including a term as Director and several terms as chair of its Continuing Education Committee and of Programs Committee for the TMA’s 2023 MARC (Midamerica Regional Conference).
