As a forensic accountant with Crowe Horwath LLP and previously with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Mr.Kuyk has extensive professional experience in financial fraud investigations and economic damage quantification in commercial litigation, arbitration and bankruptcy matters. He has testified as a financial expert witness in many legal matters involving commercial contract disputes, intellectual property infringement matters, trusts and estates matters, merger and acquisition disputes, business valuation and solvency matters in a wide variety of industries, including financial institutions, insurance, petrochemical, real estate, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and high technology. He often has served as an arbitrator or advisor in tax and post-acquisition purchase price disputes where issues such as working capital balances and earn-out calculations are disputed. He has written and taught on the subject of commercial fraud, business and intellectual property valuation, damage quantification, and electronic discovery.
