I am an entrepreneur, legal industry innovator, and cross-cultural business leader. I build profitable, high-growth, cross-border businesses. I have launched and scaled businesses across the United States, Europe and India by leading culturally and geographically diverse leadership teams. I have raised approximately $100 million in seed and venture capital and delivered returns of as much as 10X. I have been recognized by The American Lawyer as a Top 50 Innovator in Big Law in the Last 50 Years, by the National Law Journal’s 50 Business of Law Trailblazers and Pioneers, and featured in the ABA Law Journal’s 100 Years of Law. Through the 1991 Group, I currently serve as an offshore outsourcing, India business, legal technology and legal services industry advisor.
I co-founded Pangea3, a Sequoia Capital portfolio company acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2010, ranked as the #1 legal process outsourcing (LPO) provider and awarded with numerous accolades and industry awards. As Co-CEO from 2004 through 2012, I grew Pangea3 to over 1,000 lawyers and engineers with operations across India and the United States serving Fortune 500 companies and law firms globally.
Earlier, I was a member of the founding management team and served in New York and Chennai, India as the CFO and General Counsel of OfficeTiger—the pioneer in off-shore professional support services outsourcing with operations in the United States, the UK, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and India.
I began my career as a lawyer at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City specializing in international business structures, acquisitions, and operations with a particular focus on US-India business ventures.
I graduated cum laude with a BA from Duke University in 1991 and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1994 where I served as an Associate Editor of the Law Review and the Chairman of the Moot Court Board. I am admitted to the Bar in New York.
