Robert Khedouri is a New York-based independent consultant, advisor and investor, with nearly 20 years’ experience advising and leading innovating companies through all stages of growth. Robert previously served as GM & VP, Software & Solutions Division at SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK), where he led a global team focused on driving a variety of out-of-the-box innovations for the company, reporting directly to the CEO.
Robert joined SanDisk in 2008 after SanDisk acquired Robert’s former startup company, MusicGremlin, Inc. Founded in early 2003, MusicGremlin was a highly regarded venture-backed New York-based startup company that pioneered wireless music downloading and sharing, launching the world’s first portable wireless MP3 player device for legally downloading secure music without a PC (http://on.wsj.com/V3PNkY). Robert served as Founder and Co-CEO of MusicGremlin from its inception until its acquisition by SanDisk, and among other things is the lead inventor on all of the company’s numerous patent applications and issued patents.
Before founding MusicGremlin, Robert was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he served clients across a variety of industries including Financial Services, Private Equity, High Tech, Consumer Products, and Media. In addition, he led the development of a new division of the firm that focuses on distributing knowledge using Internet-based technologies, including audio and video distribution.
Prior to McKinsey, Robert was a corporate attorney with Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he specialized in mergers & acquisitions, securities and general corporate law. Robert’s practice ranged from representing investment banking clients and issuers in the securities markets, to representing both public and private acquirers and sellers in acquisition and related transactions, in addition to cross-border and global M&A and general corporate transactions.
Robert holds a B.S.E. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate, and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was an Editor of the Law Review.
