Max J. Kanter practices in the areas of commercial real estate, secured lending and corporate transactions. Mr. Kanter’s representative matters include: retail, office and industrial leasing for both landlords and tenants; purchase and sale of real estate across asset classes including retail, office, condominium projects, nursing home and industrial. In addition, Mr. Kanter also handles general corporate issues, including company formation, maintenance and sale transactions.
Mr. Kanter has substantial experience serving lenders and borrowers in commercial loan transactions of all types, including revolving credit, real estate secured and commercial and industrial (C&I) lending. Mr. Kanter has also represented a number of lenders and borrowers in loan workouts and modifications, deed-in-lieu transactions and foreclosures.
Mr. Kanter received his Juris Doctor degree from Chicago Kent, a Masters of Science degree, with Distinction from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1998. Mr. Kanter is a native of the Chicago area, the proud father of 2 young girls and competes in triathlons.
