John Weykamp is the services leader of the Crowe Horwath Restructuring Advisory group. He draws on over twenty-four years of experience in consulting, financial services and financial management of manufacturing organizations. John specializes in corporate turnarounds, loan workouts, crisis management, restructurings and liquidations. He has worked with clients in various industries including automotive supply, manufacturing, transportation, construction, foundry, steel processing, retail and distribution.
Prior to joining Crowe, John was employed as a managing director of Detroit based turnaround consulting firm Conway MacKenzie & Dunleavy where he led numerous engagements representing debtors and creditors in both out-of-court and bankruptcy proceedings. Earlier in his career, John served as the Chief Financial Officer of a privately held steel processing company, as well as a privately held tier one automotive supplier. In these roles, he led acquisition teams that performed due diligence, transaction negotiation and post-closing integration as well as managing each firm’s bank relationships and accounting functions including cash management, benefit administration, insurance and tax planning. John began his career serving as an Assistant Vice President and commercial loan officer for a Comerica bank specializing in middle market lending.
