Dave M. Eisner


RESPONSIBILITIESDave Eisner is an Audit Principal with Miller, Cooper & Co., Ltd. (MCC) and a member of the firm’s Assurance and Accounting department. Additionally, Mr. Eisner is a Principal in our Employee Benefit Plan Audit practice. As an Audit Principal, Mr. Eisner is responsible for the direction and supervision of his engagement teams and providing insight and support to his clients’ key stakeholders. In addition to serving clients, Dave is an active member of MCC’s recruiting committee that evaluates experienced hires and campus candidates. After previously interning at MCC during college, Dave joined Miller Cooper full time in 2003 and has exclusively served privately-held companies in the middle market his entire career.

Mr. Eisner specializes in audits and accounting projects within the real estate industry, with a focus on residential and commercial real estate developers and real estate investment fund sponsors. Mr. Eisner’s real estate experience covers all asset sectors, including single family, multi family, office, industrial, retail, mixed-use, and land development projects, with reporting under both US GAAP and income tax basis financial reporting frameworks.

Mr. Eisner also has significant experience with the audits of manufacturing and distribution companies, as well as service companies, commercial print and marketing companies, restaurant and entertainment companies, and government contractors. In addition to audit and assurance projects, Mr. Eisner also provides general business consulting, internal control evaluation assistance, agreed-upon procedure and financial due diligence support, and a wide spectrum of other financial accounting and reporting special projects.

As a Principal in our Employee Benefit Plan Audit practice, Mr. Eisner performs approximately 20 audits of employee benefit plans each year with significant exposure to qualified employee benefit plans with over 1,000 participants and employee benefit plans administered by publicly-traded companies and their subsidiaries and affiliates.

Mr. Eisner received both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his Masters of Science in Accounting (with an emphasis in Accounting Information Systems) from Northern Illinois University. He is a proud member of member of Northern Illinois University’s Accountancy Executive Advisory Council (AEAC) and a long-time member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
