Andrew Reibman, a partner in K&L Gates’ New York office and a registered patent attorney, advises clients regarding intellectual property issues. His practice spans the full range of intellectual property matters including patent prosecution, patent litigation, patent strategy and opinion work, trademarks and designs, transactional matters such as licensing and patent acquisitions, as well as due diligence and other IP work arising from the firm’s corporate practice.
Andrew worked 8 years at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he was a member of technical staff, technical manager and product line manager. As a patent attorney, he has experience with a wide variety of computer- and network- related technologies including operating systems, networking, fault-tolerant and real-time computing, databases, virtualization, medical image processing, electronic medical records systems, educational software, cable television analyzers, network connectors, eCommerce, cryptography, and backup and disaster recovery systems.
Andrew is a member of the firm’s Betting and Gaming practice group, and frequently advises clients on IP issues in the gaming, lottery, casino, and Internet wagering industries. He has worked on over a hundred patent matters in this area and helped litigate several patent infringement cases related to games and gaming machines
Andrew has experience with IP matters in the financial services industry. He has represented hedge funds, securities exchanges, banks, and other financial institutions in both patent and trademark matters.
