Stephen is a former entrepreneur who has been consulting for almost 20 years. In 2004, he was a co-founding partner of ROCG Americas LLC, a business transition consulting firm with offices throughout North America, that specializes in business transition. Using a proprietary Roadmap to Business Transition which includes transition strategy including the important personal and/or family elements often overlooked, and transaction management including a suite of value building and M & A services. Stephen is a certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), and works exclusively with privately owned lower mid-market companies. He is passionate in assisting many entrepreneurs who are great with “entrance strategies”, but whom possess little understanding of “exit strategies”. He believes that real business value is easily monetized upon creating and implementing business transition plans, before a well executed staged transaction. His focus is to ensure that privately held business owners have access to world class guidance through advisors working collaboratively together. In addition to strategy development with what is often a “once in a lifetime” event for business owners, Stephen has extensive experience at building business value through people development, creating management team leverage, and cross border facilitation, through having worked previously on both sides of the US/Canada border and in Europe.
