Spence Mehl is a Senior Vice President at RCS Real Estate Advisors.
Mr. Mehl has played a pivotal role in the growth of our company and our emergence as the preeminent firm in our industry.
Since joining our team in 1995, he has worked successfully with some of our largest and most well-known national clients, developing close relationships with them through his widely recognized skills as an effective negotiator and expert in property dispositions. His broad range of experience and history of producing high-value results for our clients have made him a critical component of the RCS Real Estate Advisors team. Furthermore, he has been a leader in the development of our distinctive approach to our work.
In addition to his direct responsibilities, Mr. Mehl has been instrumental in developing and applying leading-edge technology that has enabled RCS Real Estate Advisors to have the insight and knowledge necessary to deliver our differentiated set of services.
His demonstrated abilities in all facets of our business draw from his previous experience as general counsel and real estate director for a national retail chain. In that role, he held principal responsibility for all aspects of retail asset management and development, from strategic planning, site selection and construction through lease negotiations, property dispositions and other elements of asset portfolio optimization. Following that tenure, he honed his skills as a negotiator through direct involvement in some of the most prominent and large-scale retail bankruptcy proceedings on record.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Mehl practiced law in New York, focusing on transactional real estate litigation. He holds a JD degree from St. John’s University School of Law, as well as a BA from Tulane University.
