Jodi Eisenstadt

Jodi Eisenstadt, Founder of Eisen Alliance Legal Solutions counsels and represents clients in workplace matters.  As a consultant with Employment Practices Solutions (www.epspros.com), she conducts internal workplace investigations and provides training on a broad range of human resources and employment law issues.

In 1999, Jodi opened a small employment law practice (formerly known as Workplace Resolutions) dedicated to preventing employment lawsuits and improving the work environment. She stays abreast of the latest developments and best practices in workplace investigations, employment law, human resources, and mediation. She is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). In the past, she served as a volunteer mediator at the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago where she received her mediation certificate.

Jodi’s employment practice began with over six years in the Corporate Law Department of the Chicago Transit Authority, a public transportation organization that included more than 11,000 employees. While there, she shaped personnel policies, limited CTA exposure to employment liability, represented the CTA before the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other administrative agencies and led the organization’s response to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). She achieved positive results in over 30 employee grievances regarding issues such as termination, discipline, health insurance benefits and right to overtime pay.

In addition to her in-house experience, Jodi has driven harassment investigations, conducted employment practice audits, and developed employment policies as an attorney at several respected Chicagoland law firms, including Baker & McKenzie and Sachnoff & Weaver, Ltd. Prior to discovering her interest in employment law, Jodi practiced law at Mayer Brown.

Jodi earned her Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School, with an award in research and writing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, in History from Duke University.

Outside of work, Jodi enjoys spending time with her son, daughter and large dog. She loves reading, walking (especially by mountains), exploring new places, dancing, music and long conversations.
