David Shargel is a senior counsel in the trial section of Bracewell & Giuliani’s New York office. His litigation practice focuses general commercial litigation, internal investigations and white collar criminal defense. Mr. Shargel’s practice also involves issues surrounding electronic discovery and data management.
Mr. Shargel has litigated complex commercial disputes involving contract, business torts, insurance coverage, aviation, technology and fraud, and has litigated disputes concerning federal and state constitutional law, including the Commerce and Due Process Clauses.
Mr. Shargel also represents individuals and companies in criminal and regulatory investigations involving securities laws and municipal laws.
As part of his pro bono practice, Mr. Shargel has assisted injured combat veterans in connection with disability benefit proceedings.
Mr. Shargel joined Bracewell & Giuliani after serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Richard M. Berman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
