As Director and Senior Counsel of IPX International (IPXI), Adam Gill provides advice and counsel on a wide range of legal and business issues, including all IP-related matters. Adam is responsible for negotiating and executing IPXI’s transactional products, including agreements related to the offering and trading of Unit License Right™ (ULR™) contracts. In addition, Adam assists in identifying and executing high-quality, high-value IP offering opportunities for IPXI. He also is involved in the evaluation of intellectual property assets for potential trading on IPXI’s exchange.
Prior to joining IPXI, Adam was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where his practice focused on IP litigation, counseling and strategy. He has successful patent trial experience in federal district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Adam also has significant experience in securities, antitrust, and other complex litigation.
Prior to attending law school, Adam founded a successful publishing company that still operates, and worked at a trade association in Washington, D.C. that represented the domestic offshore oil and gas industry. Adam holds a B.A. from University of South Carolina, and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and California.
