Income Statement

The Income Statement is one of three fundamental financial statements. It shows a reader what a company’s or individual’s income and expenses are within a given period of time and, thus, how economically profitable (or not) the subject business (or personal life) has been in that period. An income statement is also referred to as a “net income statement” or a “statement of earnings.”
