Delisting Notice

« Back to Glossary

A delisting notice is a warning from a stock exchange to a company listed on that exchange that its shares are at risk of being delisted. A common reason for such a notice from the NYSE is that the bid price of a company’s stock has closed below $1.00 per share for 30 consecutive business days and is therefore not in compliance with NYSE regulations. In order to regain compliance, a company must have an average stock closing price of at least $1.00 during the next 30 trading days.
